Exhibits

Explore hands-on, multimedia exhibits that tell the story of forests and the people who live and work with them — from the earliest recorded history to modern times. Here, you can:

Take the controls of a Timberjack harvester
Watch historical films on moving timber, from horse-logging to railroads and trucks
Listen to stories of the people of Minnesota’s forests
Explore products made from locally harvested wood, from toothpicks to hockey sticks

Theater

Immerse yourself in an 8-minute theater experience about the Cloquet / Moose Lake fire, complete with accounts from survivors. This multimedia show uses video, lighting, and audio special effects to convey the story.
Please note: The theater experience contains loud noises and effects that may be frightening to some.

Museum store

Shop for north woods artwork, apparel, mugs, toys, jewelry, and many locally crafted items at the museum store.
